English Learners I

The National Evaluation Series™ English Learners I test (NT511) has been adopted by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. This National Evaluation Series test can be taken as an alternative to the MTEL English as a Second Language test (54) in order to fulfill licensure requirements.

Format	Computer-based test (CBT); 100 multiple-choice questions
Time	2 hours and 15 minutes total appointment time 15 minutes for tutorial and nondisclosure agreement 2 hours testing time
Breaks	You may take restroom breaks during testing. Time taken for breaks is considered part of the available testing time.
Test Dates	By appointment, year round. Test appointments are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Check seat availability .
Test Sites	CBT sites are located in Massachusetts and nationwide. Locate a test center .
Passing Score	220
Reference Materials Provided for this Test	None
Test Fee	$119. Review payment information.
Score Reporting	A scaled score is provided immediately after testing; score reports are released within two weeks of testing.
