Physical Education

The National Evaluation Series™ Physical Education test (NT516) has been adopted by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. This National Evaluation Series test can be taken as an alternative to the MTEL Physical Education test (22) in order to fulfill licensure requirements.

Format	Computer-based test (CBT) and online-proctored test; 100 multiple-choice questions
Time	Computer-Based Testing 2 hours and 15 minutes total appointment time 15 minutes for CBT tutorial and nondisclosure agreement 2 hours testing time	Online Proctoring 2 hours and 15 minutes total appointment time 15 minutes for tutorial and nondisclosure agreement 2 hours testing time
Breaks	Computer-Based Testing You may take restroom breaks during testing. Time taken for breaks is considered part of the available testing time.	Online Proctoring No breaks are allowed.

Score Reporting	Computer-Based Testing A scaled score is provided immediately after testing; score reports are released within two weeks of testing.	Online Proctoring Score reports are released within two weeks of testing. Candidates taking an online-proctored test will not receive preliminary test results when their test ends.
